Hazel Marie (Irvin) Edgington Ledford, 94

Hazel Marie (Irvin) Edgington Ledford, 94, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at the home of her son near Yellow Bay. She was born on June 8, 1914, in Blanchester, Ohio, the daughter of Ralph Harvey and Mary Frances (Shields' Irvin.

Hazel was a longtime resident of Blanchester, and married Dwight Moody Edgington on June 6, 1934, in Blanchester. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Blanchester. She was later married to David Jonathan Ledford on Jan. 5, 1952, in Blanchester.

Hazel was preceded in death by her two husbands; one brother; four sisters; and a daughter, Kay Monjar.

She is survived by her son, Kenen M. Edgington, and Peggy, of Bigfork; and a daughter, Dava L. Biehl, of Cincinnati, Ohio; her son-in-law, Russell Monjar, of Loveland, Ohio; four grandchildren, Lori Brock and Pat of Hillsboro, Ohio, Nick and Jami Edgington of Amelia, Ohio, Todd Edgington and Amanda of Wenatchee, Wash., and Brandon Biehl of Westerville, Ohio; five great-grandchildren, Grant and Merrill Edgington of Amelia, Brittany Brock and Tommy Stroud of Wilmington, Ohio, and Sarah and Hannah Brock of Hillsboro; and one great-great-grandchild, Stormie Stroud, of Wilmington.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Lake County Home Options Hospice, 711 Main Street S.W., Ronan, MT 59864; or to Grace United Methodist Church, 201 E. Center St., Blanchester, OH 45107.
