Robert Search, 84

Former Whitefish resident Robert Leroy Search, 84, died Feb. 9, 2009, at Pioneer Manor in Gillette, Wyo. He was born in Whitefish on June 23, 1924, and spent his school-age years in Hot Springs.

He moved back to Whitefish in 1955 to work on the railroad. He was employed by Burlington Northern Railroad, until he retired in 1982.

He is survived by his former wife, Wilma Search, of Gillette; sister, Marg Walters, of Burnsville, N.C.; sister, Hazel Rada, of Trout Creek; daughter, Wanda Hall, of San Antonio; daughter, Cindy Perry, of Billings; daughter, Robin England, of Whitefish; son, John Search, of Sandpoint, Idaho; and daughter, Ida Hamilton, of Gillette; 12 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

A family memorial service will be held in the summer.
