Kalispell police

A 56-year-old man was taken to the hospital Monday with non-life-threatening injuries after a van southbound in the 2100 block of U.S. 93 South crossed into oncoming traffic and collided nearly head-on with his pickup truck. The man, who was traveling northbound, was stopped in a left-hand turn lane at about 12:45 p.m. when the crash occurred. A woman stopped in the turn lane behind the man also was involved in the wreck but not seriously injured. The 18-year-old driver of the van, who told Kalispell police he may have fallen asleep behind the wheel, was cited for careless driving.

Someone paintballed a home on Condor Drive.

A person house-sitting for a Fourth Avenue East resident walked in to find an acquaintance of the upstairs neighbor in the home, specifically the bed.

Six minors were arrested for possession of alcohol after officers visited a party on Seventh Avenue West.

A group of teens kicked out of a U.S. 93 North movie theater continued to loiter about outside, prompting a call to police.

A man staying at a residence on First Avenue West told officers a neighbor kicked down his door.

Officers arrested a couple from Shelby for a combined total of 12 warrants - issued for everything from assault to DUI - during a traffic stop.

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies responded to Church Drive after a resident noticed the valves on six empty fertilizer tanks had been opened. It is unknown if any fertilizer went missing, but the residue can be used to make methamphetamine.

An intoxicated man wandering down Lower Dam Road was gone when deputies arrived.

Someone kicked down the door to a home under construction in a neighborhood north of Columbia Falls and made off with a table saw and compressor.

Threats were reported on Bear Trail near Whitefish.

A woman returned to her vehicle, which had been parked outside a bar on U.S. 93 in Lakeside, to find a hole in the back window.

Deputies were called to Wiley Dike Road after a resident complained about the neighbors, who keep crossing their property despite the orange cones erected to prevent it.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police arrested a 22-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman for assault after they allegedly got into a fight with a couple on Ninth Street West.

Three girls were arrested for shoplifting from a Nucleus Avenue store.

Officers received 20 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

The South Kalispell Fire Department was paged out to a chimney fire on Concord Lane.

The Marion Fire Department was called to rescue a cat in a tree near Pleasant Valley.

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to a crash near the intersection of West Evergreen Drive and U.S. 2. Firefighters also responded to a crash on U.S. 2 near Glacier Park International Airport. A woman was taken to the hospital.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to River View Drive to treat a child who got stuck in a chair.

The Somers Fire Department was called to the Lakeside post office after someone smelled what they thought was a burning wire.

The ALERT helicopter responded to Blacktail Mountain after a 14-year-old suffered a leg injury. In an unrelated call on the same mountain, a person with chest pain was taken to the hospital via private vehicle.
