Carmella T. Rudolph, 73

| February 19, 2009 1:00 AM

Carmella T. Rudolph of Marana, Ariz., previously of Kalispell, "left this Earth" on Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at Odyssey Hospice Center, surrounded by her loving family, after a long battle with lung cancer. She was 73.

Born in Drexel Hill, Pa., Mrs. Rudolph was the daughter of (the late) Dominick and Nora Sassani of Levittown, Pa.

She was the beloved wife of Robert Rudolph for 33 years.

"Although she is not with us, she lives on in our hearts."

Carmella touched the lives of everyone she ever met, bringing happiness, enjoyment and comfort to her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Carmella is survived by her four children, Clifford Boyles and wife, Debi, of Sacramento, Calif., Nicky Boyles of Flathead Lake, Elizabeth Moratti and husband, Bob, of Fairless Hills, Pa., and Rosalie Huntley and fiance, Ron Matthews, of Peoria, Ariz.; and her sister, Gloria Boyle, and her husband, Bob, of Lancaster, Pa. Her five grandchildren, Melissa, Bobby, Dominick, Nicholas and Stacey, and two stepsons, Bobby and Warren, along with many nieces and nephews, will sadly miss her.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Ascension Lutheran Church in Tucson, Ariz.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Cancer Research Foundation or Ascension Lutheran Church, 1220 W. Magee Road, Tucson, AZ 85704.

As her granddaughter Melissa Moratti has said, "If the people we love are stolen from us, the way to have them live on is to never stop loving them. Buildings burn, people die, but real love is forever."

"Rest in peace, Mom. Mom, we will miss you."
