Car crash kills man near Pablo

A 20-year-old man died after flipping his car into an empty irrigation ditch Saturday near Pablo.

The man died at the scene, the Montana Highway Patrol said. The patrol withheld his name Sunday, pending notification of his family.

The patrol said the man was driving too fast south on Skyline Drive, just north of the intersection with Light Road, shortly before 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

He lost control of the car, and it went off the road's left side to go into an empty irrigation ditch. The car hit the bank and flipped several times before ending up on its top in the ditch. The man was ejected and was pinned beneath the car.
