Cutler, Smithwick-Hann get Glacier back on track

MISSOULA - Glacier bounced back Tuesday from back-to-back road losses last weekend in Helena to knock off Missoula Hellgate 59-43.

Glacier, 8-3 in Western AA play and 13-6 overall, was sparked by Ben Cutler, who led all scorers with 24 points. Shay Smithwick-Hann added 17 points and 18 rebounds for the Wolfpack.

Conner Weston had 14 points for Hellgate, 3-8 and 6-13.

Hellgate shot just 29 percent from the field on its Senior Night and was outrebounded 47-33. The Knights were held to eight points in the third quarter.

Glacier led 19-11 after the first quarter stop and 35-25 at the half.

Glacier ends regular-season play on Friday at Flathead, 8 p.m.
