The 8th Annual Great Rockies Sportshow will return to Kalispell this weekend at the Flathead County Fairgrounds.
The show will feature demonstrations and exhibits for hunting, fishing, boating, camping, travel and other outdoor subjects.
Exhibitors are coming from Africa, Alaska, Canada and the Rocky Mountain West to showcase their products and services at the Trade Center Building at the fairgrounds.
One of the highlights for this year's show is West Virginia archer Frank Addington, known as the "Aspirin Buster" for his ability to shoot a baby aspirin in midair with an arrow, along with other displays of his archery skills.
There also will be contests at the show, including the Fourth Annual Big Buck and Bull contest in which local hunters can enter their trophies. The competition closes on Saturday at 6 p.m., with awards at Sunday at 3 p.m.
There will be a coyote calling contest Sunday at 3 p.m., with free entry for competitors under 16.
Critterman, a local entertainer, will be performing every day of the event, putting his unique educational spin on wildlife of the West.
There will be fly-tying exhibitors, Dutch oven cooking sessions, and seminars on fishing and hunting tactics.
