Irene Struck, 88

Irene Struck, 88, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at Heritage Place in Kalispell. She was born on May 12, 1920, in Rudyard, to Louis and Matilda (Koch) Aeverman.

Irene received her early education in Rudyard and graduated from high school there.

After marrying Clarence Struck in Rudyard, the family moved to Kalispell.

Irene enjoyed playing cards, ballroom dancing, gardening and canning. She loved her trips to Reno, Nev., and was active in the Eagles Auxiliary.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband; one brother, Clarence; and a son, Clifford.

She is survived by a son, Darvin Struck, and wife, Bonnie, of Kalispell; three grandchildren, Andrew Struck and wife, Mandy, of Costa Mesa, Calif., Jennifer Rodriques and husband, Steve, of Madison, Wis., and Shelley Smith and husband, Miles, of Kalispell; and her daughter-in-law, Marlene Struck, of Kalispell.

Memorial services for Irene will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at Valley Community Church of God, 2149 Hwy. 2 East, with Pastor Bill Harper officiating. Irene will be placed next to her husband in C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
