Polson pins loss on Bulldogs

POLSON Polson won five matches by pin Jacob Young (125), Keio Salmonson (130), Randy Kelley (135), Ty Fouty (140) and Keden Thomas (heavyweight) and five via forfeits to down Whitefish 60-26 in a Northwestern A wrestling dual on Tuesday.

Polson's top wrestler, Brock Picard (19-2 at 171 pounds), sat this one out.

Trae Fouty, who dislocated his elbow at the Mining City Duals, is expected to be back in the Polson lineup soon. Fouty is 6-1 at 145 pounds.

Claiming pins for Whitefish were: Zach Berger (112), Kaleb Prestegaard (152) and Geoff Streeter (160). Tanner Benedict (145) and Derek Crittenden (215) both won by major decision.

Polson hosts Libby on Thursday in a league dual, then heads for the Ronan Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

Whitefish will compete in the Cut Bank Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
