Jerry L. Hawley, 63

Jerry L. Hawley, 63, passed away Dec. 27, 2008, in Casa Grande, Ariz. Jerry was born in Fairview, and came to the Flathead as a junior in high school. He graduated from Flathead High School in 1963.

He worked for many years at Kalispell Lumber and was also a building contractor in the valley.

He married Verna Voigt in 1967. They had two children.

In 1979, Jerry married Judi Crow Haugen. They lived in Oregon for several years before moving back to the valley in 2006.

Jerry moved to Arizona in 2007, and passed away there after a long battle with cancer.

Survivors include his wife, Judi; son, Brandon Hawley, and Angela; daughter, Charla Rychlik, and John; and stepdaughters, Kimberly Advent and Hallie Haugen. Jerry had 10 grandkids, Sean Roland, Cory Williams, Ashley Advent, Kaitlyn Knox, Michaela Hawley, Charlissa Hawley, Chase Rychlik, Zion Small, Garrett Rychlik and Nici Small; sisters, Melodie Fleming and John, Patricia Wyler and Wayne, and Cheri Hagen; and brother, Ben Morris.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Dale Hawley; his mom, Charlene Jackson; and brother, James Hawley.

There will be no service held. He will be cremated, and a family memorial will be held at a later date.
