Flathead County sheriff
Someone driving past a home near Lake Blaine called Flathead County Sheriff's deputies after observing several people outside arguing. Turns out they weren't, and deputies cleared the call as unfounded.
Deputies were called to an apartment complex on U.S. 2 after a resident heard strange noises coming from a neighboring unit and grew concerned. Nothing criminal had occurred.
A woman driving on U.S. 2 hit a patch of ice and slid into another lane of traffic. A fellow motorist took exception and started following the woman, prompting a call to authorities.
Deputies were called to referee an argument between two people on Montana 35.
Counterfeit money was reported at a Bigfork school.
Deputies received 153 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Kalispell police
Kalispell police were called to Main and Second streets after a man allegedly was observed trying to break the window of a nearby business. He later showed up at the police station to report an assault. He claims he was kicked in the head.
Officers responded to Coot Court after a man allegedly grabbed and twisted a woman's arm.
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance on Summit Ridge Drive and arrested a 14-year-old boy for family member assault.
A First Avenue West woman told police that someone put an ointment that caused a burning sensation on the doorknob to her apartment.
Officers received 75 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Whitefish police
Whitefish police responded to a realty company on Baker Avenue after tires were slashed on a truck in the parking lot.
Officers received 40 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Columbia Falls police
Columbia Falls police received 33 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Alarms
In separate incidents, the Kalispell Fire Department was called to extinguish engine fires in cars on Summit Ridge Drive and on Appleway Drive.
The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a three-vehicle crash involving a bus on East Idaho Street. Two people were taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
The Kalispell Fire Department also responded to a crash near the intersection of Seventh Avenue West and Second Street. A pregnant woman was taken to the hospital.
The Creston Fire Department responded to South Many Lakes Drive after a car slid about 20 feet off the road and down an embankment. No one was injured.
The Creston Fire Department and Evergreen Fire Department were paged out to a slide-in on Montana 206 near the intersection with Montana 35. One person was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
