Volunteers sought for city committee

The city of Kalispell is seeking volunteers to serve on its impact fee advisory committee.
An impact fee is a one-time charge on a new home or commercial building that is built in or annexed into Kalispell. Its purpose is to help the city pay the extra capital costs of serving that structure.
The committee studies and makes recommendations on calculating, assessing, spending and re-examining the fees.
The committee currently has five members, although one has mentioned resigning. The maximum legal committee size is seven people. A term is three years.
Members must be property owners, residents or be active in business or employment within Kalispell.
For more information, people can contact Terri Loudermilk at the city's Public Works Department at 758-7722, or they can call the city clerk's office at 758-7756.
To submit an application, send a letter to Mayor Pam Kennedy, P.O. Box 1997, Kalispell, MT 59901.
