Addis Moon Noftsinger was born with a loud cry and a soft gaze Dec. 24, 2008, in Whitefish. With her thick black hair and shiny dark eyes, she greatly resembled her big sister. She had a crooked fourth toe on her little right foot that was uniquely her own.

Addis "rose like the new moon" on Dec. 25, 2008, after a short, but warm, swaddle in her mother's and father's arms and an everlasting kiss from her sister.

She "joins in spirit" her grandfather, Donald Nail.

She is survived by her mother, Michelle Nail-Noftsinger, father, David A. Noftsinger, and 4-year-old sister, Xochyl, of Whitefish, who will forever hold her dearly in their hearts. Addis also is survived by her grandmother, Felicitas C. Nail, of Webster City, Iowa; grandparents, Paul and Rebecca Noftsinger, of Warren, Ohio; aunts, Amalia Grunder, Sherry Nail-Sadowski, Jennifer Nail and Jessica Noftsinger, and uncles, Allan Nail, John Sadowski and Bryan Grunder, and families.

A celebration of life will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, at the Whitefish Ballroom. The service is open to all friends and family members who wish to join.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family to assist in medical expenses.
