Flathead County sheriff's deputies responded to a motel on Montana 35 in Evergreen after a guest reported a strange smell coming from a neighboring room. Turns out the smell was coming from someone smoking marijuana, and the occupant was ticketed on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Tires were reported stolen on Somers Stage Road. In an unrelated incident, medication and CDs were taken from an unlocked vehicle on Montana 35 near Bigfork.

Deputies arrested a 40-year-old man accused of stealing guitars from a pawn shop on U.S. 2 near Kalispell on suspicion of felony theft.

The clerk at a convenience store on U.S. 2 near Kila refused to return a customer's credit card after it was declined, prompting a report of suspicious behavior to deputies.

Deputies were called to the Kalispell Regional Medical Center emergency room to check out an intoxicated man talking about suicide. He had someone else's wallet in his pocket.

The back window of a car parked in the lot of a convenience store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen was shattered. The owner suspects it was shot out.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police responded to a six-car pileup on Three Mile Drive near Kalispell Middle School. What began as a rear-end collision became a chain reaction. The last driver in line was ticketed on suspicion of careless driving. One person was taken to the hospital by private vehicle with minor injuries.

A computer was reported stolen from a mortgage company on First Avenue West.

A woman discovered she was bleeding from a small cut on her knee after someone in a passing car on Fifth Avenue West threw something out the window.

Officers arrested a 50-year-old man on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident and reckless driving after a hit-and-run.

Someone reportedly turned on the water spigot outside a 10th Avenue West building and left it on all day.

A man attempting to use a fake ID at a Kalispell liquor store was arrested on suspicion of trying to illegally obtain alcohol and probation violation.

A Liberty Street woman called police because her intoxicated boyfriend - who reportedly has a history of contact with law enforcement - refused to leave. He took off while she was still on the phone.

Officers received 93 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of DUI and driving on a suspended license during a traffic stop on Spokane Avenue.

Officers received 43 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police arrested a 47-year-old woman on suspicion of DUI after she failed to yield for an emergency vehicle on U.S. 2.

Officers arrested a 63-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man on contempt of court warrants after visiting a residence on Eighth Avenue East North.

Officers received 26 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Alarms

The Hungry Horse Fire Department, Three Rivers EMS, and Canyon Quick Response Unit were paged to a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 2 near the Hungry Horse bridge, but medical personnel were unable to find the vehicles reportedly involved.

The Olney Fire Department and ALERT helicopter responded to a one-vehicle rollover on U.S. 93 near mile marker 148. One person was flown to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Columbia Falls Fire Department and Three Rivers EMS responded to a crash on U.S. 2 near Hilltop Road. One person suffered cuts to the face but was not transported to the hospital. One driver, a 33-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
