Polson wrestlers roll over Whitefish

WHITEFISH - Polson rolled up 42 points on pins to dispense with Whitefish 66-19 Thursday in a Northwestern A wrestling dual.

There were eight weight classes contested with Polson and Whitefish splitting those matches.

Whitefish's Jonathan Reimer, 119, picked up his first dual win of the season via a pin in 1:02.

Whitefish's lone senior, Kaleb Prestegaard, 152, won by a 9-4 decision on Senior Night.

Also winning for the Bulldogs were Geoff Streeter, 160, by pin and Derek Crittenden, 215, by major decision.

"We actually wrestled fairly well," Whitefish coach Ryan Hoffman said.

"We lost two matches that we were in, but that's wrestling."

Polson's Keio Salmonson, 130, Randy Kelley, 135, Chris Cote, 140, and Ty Fouty, 145, all won by pin.

Polson and Whitefish both wrestle at Columbia Falls on Saturday, 4 and 6 p.m., respectively.
