COLUMBIA FALLS - Columbia Falls bounced back from a weekend loss to Whitefish by blasting Class B Eureka on Thursday 69-40 in boys nonconference basketball play.
Columbia Falls, 6-4, put the game away early, outscoring Eureka 18-3 and 22-4 in the first two periods.
The Wildcats were led by Grants Getts, 12 points, and Michael Williams, 10. Eleven players figured in Columbia Falls' scoring.
Eureka's Ben Dechart led all scorers with 18 points. Ryan Holder followed with 12. The Lions fall to 3-7.
"The kids came out and played a pretty good first half," Columbia Falls coach Cary Finberg said.
"We had an opportunity to play a lot of kids. Now we have to get ready for a big game tomorrow."
Class A Columbia Falls hosts Class AA Glacier tonight at 8. Columbia Falls is 2-1 versus AA schools to date.

Bigfork 60, Flathead 55
Bigfork picked up its first victory of the season by knocking off Class AA Flathead in a nonconference contest at Flathead.
Bigfork, 1-7, led 34-18 at the half.
Flathead, 2-8, outscored the Vikings in the second half 37-26, but it wasn't quite enough.
Garrett Pewe paced Bigfork, and all scorers, with 24 points. Scott Taylor helped out with 12.
Karl Ingram tallied 18 points for Flathead.
"Credit goes to Bigfork," Flathead coach Fred Febach said.
"They came in and played awfully well. They got off to a good start in the first half."
Febach said the Braves "did a great job of responding in the second half."

BIGFORK - Bigfork pushed its winning streak to five games by dropping winless Class AA Flathead in a nonconference matchup.
Bigfork, 6-2, took charge in the second half, outscoring Flathead 13-6 in the third quarter for a 33-22 advantage.
The Bravettes are now 0-10.
Kayley Fierro and Roxy Thurman led Bigfork with 14 and 12 points, respectively.
Mallery Knoll led the Vals in rebounding with seven. She also had six points.
"She did a nice job defensively tonight," Bigfork coach Mark Hansen said.
"She was on (Kelsey) Hildal the first three quarters and held her to six points."
Flathead's Hildal led all scorers with 19.
Fierro also had six rebounds and two blocks.
"She did a nice job in the post for us," Hansen said of Fierro.

EUREKA - Mariah Newell tallied 17 points and shared the team lead in rebounds at seven as Eureka knocked off Class A Columbia Falls in a nonconference contest.
Class B Eureka, 5-6 overall, led 25-17 at the half.
Auna Lawler had a big night shooting, hitting four 3s to finish with 12 points.
Kayla DeWit had 21 points to power Columbia Falls, 5-5.
Steph Vogelman and Cami Stacy also had seven rebounds for Eureka, and Carli Hammond led in steals, three, and assists, five.
Eureka lost starter Taylor Holder in practice on Monday when she tore her ACL.
"She will be missed," Eureka coach John Hammond said.
"The kids really stepped it up in her absence."
