The first case of influenza in Flathead County was confirmed Tuesday, the Flathead City-County Health Department said.

Influenza A cases already have been confirmed in 10 other Montana counties this winter.

The health department offers flu vaccines at the Earl Bennett Building from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and from 1:30 to 4 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The clinic is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays.

The Kalispell site is closed on the second Tuesday of each month so the staff can run clinics in Columbia Falls and Whitefish.

For more information, people can contact the health department at 751-8110.
