Flathead County sheriff's deputies responded to Springdale Drive after an intoxicated 37-year-old man allegedly threatened a woman with a rifle. The woman was at the house to pick up a pit bull, which on its way out peed on the man's barbecue - prompting his ire and decision to retrieve the firearm. He was arrested on suspicion of assault with a weapon.

Footprints were left outside a Parklane Drive woman's bedroom window, prompting her to report a possible prowler.

A Flathead County resident reported receiving a generally threatening spam e-mail.

Deputies were called to Stoner Creek Road in Lakeside after an 8-year-old boy allegedly assaulted another 8-year-old boy.

Employees of a Big Mountain lodge reported paying a repairman $3,000 to fix some appliances, but the work never was done.

A purse reported missing was found at an East Idaho Street restaurant, but the money inside was gone.

An apparently underage woman tried to buy beer from a convenience store on Montana 35 in Bigfork with an expired license. When confronted, she took off, leaving the ID behind.

Deputies arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of partner assault and an outstanding contempt-of-court warrant after responding to a disturbance on Conrad Drive. The man allegedly assaulted a woman at the residence.

A group of youths hanging out on Shady Lane were returned to their parents after a passer-by thought their behavior was suspicious and called deputies.

Obscene phone calls were reported by a River Place resident.

Kalispell police

A man allegedly threw a chair, coffee pot, and other items at his girlfriend, who is seven months pregnant. Kalispell police responded to the woman's 11th Street West home and arrested the man on suspicion of partner assault after her mother called to report the alleged abuse.

A man was taking pictures of a bank on U.S. 93 North. This struck employees as suspicious.

Officials at a Fourth Avenue East school allowed a student to leave with an adult, without permission of the parent. Police advised the parent of his options.

A Greatview Drive man called to complain that his ex-wife punched him in the face and slammed the door. But when officers arrived, they found the report had been somewhat exaggerated.

Five shots were heard on Fifth Avenue East, but officers were unable to find anything amiss.

Officers arrested a man on suspicion of DUI during a traffic stop on East Idaho Street.

Whitefish police arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of shoplifting at a grocery store on U.S. 93. He allegedly took two doughnuts.

Officers received 34 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received 13 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Alarms

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to Wisconsin Avenue after a baby began choking on a chip. The baby started breathing before paramedics arrived and was not taken to the hospital.

A woman who broke her ankle while falling on ice off West Evergreen Drive was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center. The Kalispell Fire Department and Evergreen Fire Department responded.

Big Mountain Ambulance responded to a resort parking lot after a woman broke her leg while skiing. She was taken to North Valley Hospital and then to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Columbia Falls Fire Department responded to Montana 40 after receiving reports that an RV was on fire.
