Group offers tax assistance

AARP's Tax-Aide in Kalispell offers free tax return assistance in four locations in the valley for middle and lower income people, with special attention to those 60 and over.

People need to make an appointment for service by calling 257-1296.

AARP Tax-Aide volunteers will be available at the following sites in February:

Kalispell - Northridge Lutheran Church, 323 Northridge Dr., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays, starting Feb. 2. Call 257-1296.

Columbia Falls - North Valley Senior Center, 205 Nucleus Ave., from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, starting Feb. 3. Call 892-4087.

Bigfork - Bigfork Senior Center, 639 Commerce St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays, starting Feb. 4. Call 837-4157.

Whitefish - Whitefish Community Center, home of the Golden Agers 'senior center), 121 Second St., from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursdays, starting Feb. 5. Call 862-4923.

People will need to bring copies of their last year's tax returns, photo identification for themselves and Social Security cards for themselves and each of their dependents.
