Lorraine Verna Croskrey, 92

Lorraine Verna Croskrey, 92, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2009, at Colonial Manor in Whitefish. She was born on Aug. 14, 1916, at Half Moon, the daughter of Vernon and Carrie (Jensen) Barrows. She was raised in the Flathead Valley and attended schools in Kalispell.

She married Buster Raymond Brown and six children were born to this union. They were later divorced. She later married Harold Croskrey and one son was born to this union.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Croskrey; two sons, two daughters, and three sisters.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna Kidwell and husband, Dick, of Kalispell, and Lucille Parpart and husband, Ray, of Tanhasket, Wash.; two sons, David Brown and wife, Barb, of Lodi, Calif., and Kerry Croskrey and wife, Nita, of Columbia Falls; one sister, Ruth Bates, of Arizona; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Lorraine will be held at 1 p.m. today, July 1, at the Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
