The Flathead County Sheriff's deputies received a report of a 10-year-old boy being injured in an attack by a pit bull on Pioneer Road Sunday evening. The owner was cited, the dog was quarantined and there was no further information on the condition of the boy.

A woman said that her purse had been stolen during a fight at a bar on U.S. 2 in Hungry Horse the previous night.

There was a forest fire on Snowshed Mountain in the Middle Fork Flathead River corridor near Essex.

After responding to a report of a man causing a disturbance at business parking lot, deputies arrested the 52-year-old on outstanding contempt warrants.

A wheelbarrow and wood were left on the railroad tracks near Inspiration Drive in the Whitefish area.

Early Monday, a 30-year-old man was arrested for drunk driving at a convenience store on U.S. 2 just west of Columbia Falls.

A brief case was stolen from a vehicle that was parked at a hotel on U.S. 93 just north of Somers.

A man said that a neighbor had launched artillery fireworks at his vehicle and trailer the previous night.

Fourteen mailboxes were torn down, with some of them missing entirely, on Wilderness Lane just off Blanchard Lake Road.

A bicycle was stolen from a residence on the 500 block of Conrad Drive.

A man said that his neighbors keep "peeling out" on the makeshift speed bumps he built on Black Hawk Lane in the Helena Flats area.

Sheriff's dispatch had 165 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police continued to respond to a variety of fireworks complaints around town Sunday night.

There was a report of golf clubs being stolen from a residence at Fifth Street East and Sixth Avenue East.

A man, 47, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly striking one of his son's friends at a residence on the 1000 block of Eighth Street West.

A boy, 17, was arrested for possessing alcohol and tobacco, open container and a probation violation at Third and Main.

Early Monday, a brother, 14, and sister, 16, were arrested for curfew violation at a grocery store on First Avenue East North.

An Appleway Drive resident reported that an apartment door had been kicked in but nothing inside appeared to be missing.

Kalispell police had 83 log entries from 3:30 p.m. Sunday to 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police arrested a woman, 35, on outstanding city warrants after a traffic stop on Fourth Avenue West and Seventh Street West late Sunday.

A woman, 23, was arrested Monday for failing to paying fines after she turned herself in at City Court.

There were 39 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police had a report Monday morning of an excavator bucket being stolen from a construction site on Lena Joy Drive.

Golf clubs were stolen from a residence on Barkley Lane.

A wallet was stolen from a convenience store on Spokane Avenue.

There were 33 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Alarms

The Smith Valley Fire Department responded to a four-wheeler accident near Coon Hollow Road in the Kila area Sunday. A man, 40, suffered a severe leg fracture and was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The West Valley Fire Department responded to a truck on fire on Go Away Lane.
