Bear sightings are a certainty at the Great Bear Adventure park just west of Glacier. The 24-acre, drive-through bear park is 1 mile east of Coram on U.S. 2. It features grizzly and black bears. The bears roam through open areas surrounded by electric fencing. They forage for food dispersed by handlers and they frolic in ponds. Visitors are required to stay in their vehicles during their entire visit.
Handlers are always present in the park and are available to answer questions about the bears. After Memorial Day, the park is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Inquire at the gate about admission fees.
