Della Corine (Finch) Jackson, 74

Della Corine (Finch) Jackson, daughter of Blanche Dempsey and David Jackson, passed away June 3, 2009. Della was born Feb. 16, 1935, in Fraser, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Finch; daughters Melody and Wanda Rose; and son Johnny.

She is survived by children Thomas E. Finch Jr. of Missoula, David L. Finch of Spokane, Barbara Hogard of Kalispell, Dale Ogden of Somers, and Mike Nielsen of of Nikiski, Alaska; and 41 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including one grandchild, Fresa Ramirez, raised by Barbara and Della.

Della graduated from high school in Montana and studied nursing in college in Texas.

For years she worked in the woods, cutting trees and posts. After she retired, she worked at Burger King and McDonald's. She worked hard to help support the family and had a great appreciation for the outdoors.

One of the greatest loves of her life was her family.

Della lived in various places around Montana and finally settled in Kalispell in the late '50s.

She was loved by her family and will be greatly missed and always remembered.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 12, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home. After services, share in food and memories at 330 Parliament Dr. in Kalispell.
