Flathead County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 25-year-old man early Friday morning after he allegedly broke into a family member's Sleepy Hollow Road home. The man, who fled the scene, busted out a basement window and made off with a purse.

Deputies were called to investigate a possible prowler on Tamarack Lane outside Columbia Falls.

Someone shot the window of a Mountain View Drive home with a BB gun. The homeowner found the hole.

Animal wardens were dispatched to Whitefish Hills Drive after a dog got stuck under a deck.

Deputies broke up disturbances on River Butte Drive, the Somers boat launch, and at a Marion bar.

Deputies received 155 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Kalispell police

The person house-sitting a Sixth Avenue West residence had several people over. After a neighbor complained, Kalispell police asked the group to keep the volume down and quit jumping fences.

A man riding on the hood of a green Jeep on 10th Avenue West was gone when officers arrived.

A Liberty Street resident complained about receiving harassing calls and threatening messages from an unknown man. Officers counseled the parties involved.

The driver of a gray van followed a man and his girlfriend down First Street East before asking the couple if they wanted a ride. The driver's offer was declined, but he continued to follow them.

Officers were called to settle a dispute between brothers. One owns a car but lets the other use it. Now the owner wants to use it more, and the other brother allegedly is threatening to report it stolen.

Officers told an intoxicated man prostrate in the grass outside a First Avenue West business to move along.

Officers received 79 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police received 39 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia Falls police

People trying to steal a traffic sign on Nucleus Avenue failed to do so before Columbia Falls police arrived. The culprits were counseled.

The person on the roof of a restaurant on U.S. 2 late Thursday night turned out to be cleaning vents.

Officers received 30 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Alarms

The Marion Fire Department was paged out to a trail off U.S. 2 after smoke was noticed in the trees.

The Columbia Falls Fire Department responded Thursday evening to a four-car crash at the intersection of U.S. 2 and Montana 40.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to First Avenue West and 11th Street after a motorcycle and car collided. No one was seriously injured.
