PULLMAN, Wash. - The Kalispell Lakers are making the most of their road trip to Washington.

Seventeen-year-old Greg Seaman totaled six RBIs in two days while starter Ben Sansaver went the distance in a dominating victory early Saturday and the Lakers have a shot at hardware heading into the final day of the Palouse Summer legion baseball tourney.

The Lakers (19-8) are 2-1 up to this point and will either play in the championship game at 12:45 p.m. today or in the consolation game at 10:15 a.m. at Washington State University's Bailey-Brayton Field.

Seattle's Grady Williams knocked a go-ahead three-run homerun in the bottom of the fifth inning and the Reds snapped Kalispell's six-game win streak on Saturday at Pullman High Field.

With the game tied at one, Williams turned on a pitch and broke the game wide open. Seattle went on to score twice more in two innings. Kalispell couldn't muster the comeback.

Starter Mike O'Connell picked up the loss, allowing one earned run off five hits for Kalispell, who had four errors in the game. O'Connell led the Laker offense, batting 2-for-3, while Pat Hergesheimer had a double for the team's lone extra base hit.

The Lakers bats exploded for nine runs in the first and pitcher Ben Sansaver took care of the rest with eight strikeouts in a complete game victory on day two of the Summer Palouse tourney at Bailey-Brayton Field Saturday.

Seaman continued to shine with a three-run double in the opening frame for Kalispell, which tallied seven total hits in the first. Seaman had three RBIs in the Lakers' tourney opener victory.

Dean Stimpson and Pat Hergesheimer had three hits apiece and Sansaver earned his fourth win of the season for the Lakers.

Seaman had three RBIs including a 2-run single in the fourth that sparked the Kalispell comeback and the Lakers held off Edmonton in their first match at the Summer Palouse tourney on Bailey-Brayton Field on Friday.

Kalispell pitcher Mat O'Brien (3-2) stifled Edmonton for six innings, allowing five hits and two walks before being relieved by Ben Sansaver. Edmonton charged back for four runs in the final frame before Sansaver and Co. dampened the rally. Sansaver earned his second save of the season.

Blaine Matulevich went 2-for-2 and Toby Liechti went 2-for-3 for Kalispell.
