Patience paid off in the end.
Despite two lengthy rain delays, the Glacier All-Stars held on for a 6-4 victory at Memorial Field over the Kalispell Lakers A at the 20th annual Ed Gallo Tournament on Wednesday.
Glacier and Kalispell were originally scheduled to play at 2:30 p.m., but heavy rain pushed that American Legion baseball game back to 5:30 p.m.
Isaac Venezio led Glacier with a double and three RBIs. Cory Davis went the distance for Glacier on the mound. He struck out seven.
This was the second game of the tournament. The five-day event began Tuesday with the Glacier Twins topping the Kootenai Valley Rangers 14-4 in five innings.
Glacier also played a second game on Wednesday, losing to Kootenai Valley 2-1.
The tournament host Glacier Twins played Spokane (Ferris' at 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
