Flathead County Sheriff's deputies were contacted about a counterfeiting complaint Monday but no details were available.

Dogs were on a chicken-killing spree on Anderson Lane but no report was given about the fate of the dogs gone afoul. Another dog was reported killing chickens on Columbia Meadows Drive.

A break-in was reported at Waverly Place. A resident started a mortar mixer at that location and discovered someone had placed sugar in the gas tank.

Concerned citizens called about a man stopping in a Somers bar showing a picture of a little girl and asking if anyone had seen her. The man was found to have mental health issues and was taken for screening.

An injured deer dragging its back legs was spotted on South Lakeside Drive just after noon Sunday. Deputies found the deer dead on arrival.

A generator was reported stolen from a construction site in Marion.

A stray dog is doing time in the pen at the animal shelter after a successful chicken-hunting trip Sunday in Livermore Flats.

Deputies explained to a customer at a local convenience store Sunday afternoon that threats do not substitute for money when paying for beer.

A bike and vehicle collided at U.S. 93 near Lakeside. The rider refused transportation by ambulance, taking a private vehicle for medical help.

A 22-year-old woman learned Sunday evening that a person with a warrant for obstructing justice should not go visit friends in jail. She was arrested and given her own accommodations.

Deputies were called to Packer's Roost where a man reported that he was threatened by his brother-in-law, Bam Bam, who apparently earned his nickname administering hands-on justice. Deputies got the matter settled without bloodshed.

A motorcycle accident on Blacktail Road Sunday evening sent a 6-year-old to the hospital with a split lip.

Deputies investigated a stolen cell phone at Somers Middle School as well as a privacy in communication complaint about messages coming to the telephone from Butte.

The sheriff's department logged 144 entries between about 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police assisted an elderly woman in finding her car at the Outlaw Inn. She thought it was stolen.

Officers investigated the theft of a 21-speed Road Master silver and blue bicycle from First Avenue West.

Criminal mischief was reported on Main Street where a business found inappropriate images on the side of the building.

Crosswalk and stop signs were vandalized at Fourth Avenue and 10th Streets.

Police found a man sleeping behind the pump house at Woodland Park. He had been arrested earlier as an illegal alien but is here legally now until his hearing.

More bad-dog behavior occurred on Ponderosa Street where loose dogs broke through a screen door in pursuit of the resident cat. The suspects are described as a black dog and a blue-heeler mix.

Officers took a man with mental-health issues into custody after he threatened to kill his caseworker.

A man had quite a surprise when he woke up to find his yard on Second Avenue East had been dug up, a tree and flowers planted along with a yard light and flag. Unfortunately, the landscaping items were reported stolen from other areas of town, including a rose bush from Fifth Avenue East.

A woman on Sixth Avenue East reported that someone had entered her unlocked house and taken her purse off a table. The purse was described as yellow felt with embroidered vines. The contents included $25, credit and debit cards and checks.

A man was arrested on Liberty Street after a witness alleged that he was beating a 3-year-old girl with a belt and holding her by the hair. The 21-year-old man was arrested on a warrant from another jurisdiction.

A 31-year-old man was apprehended after he allegedly stole a purse near a casino then ran away on foot. The man was charged with probation violation, theft, criminal trespass to a vehicle and obstructing a police officer.

A 28-year-old man was arrested after a disturbance at a restaurant Sunday and charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing a police officer.

Kalispell police logged 56 calls between about 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 19 year-old Kalispell man at a restaurant for allegedly taking a card out of a customer's purse.

Whitefish police logged 33 calls between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police arrested 21-year-old man late Sunday on a warrant from another jurisdiction.

Columbia Falls police logged 35 calls between about 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.
