A man driving down Foy's Lake Road told Flathead County Sheriff's deputies that a teen he passed shined a laser light into eyes, and now he is having vision problems.

An Essex landlord was concerned a tenant might try to assault him because the pair had previously gotten into a heated argument.

Someone called deputies to complain that the owners of an area golf course were burning vehicles and leaving them down by the river.

A passerby found a loaded 9 mm pistol in the middle of Lore Lake Road and turned it into authorities.

Twenty-five dogs are living in a 23-foot trailer on Flathead Drive. Animal wardens spoke with the dogs' owner about placing them in new homes.

Deputies were called to break up a fight between three youths at a Hungry Horse camp. One of those involved ran away; the others agreed to settle their differences peacefully.

Deputies responded to an Ashley Lake campground after a group of people became unruly and began causing trouble. Threats reportedly were leveled. A 19-year-old woman was arrested on warrants for selling drugs and contempt of court.

Sparkler bombs reportedly were set off on White Fawn Lane, Evergreen, and South Fork Drive. Kids also were spotted shooting off fireworks in Hungry Horse and throwing firecrackers into some brush in Columbia Falls.

Deputies received 133 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Kalispell police

A man at a medical equipment supply store on Third Avenue East told Kalispell police he was being discriminated against because employees wouldn't sell him a catheter.

An Arizona man told officers his identity is being used somewhere in Kalispell.

Officers responded to Seventh Avenue West after a 15-year-old girl verbally abused her mother while on the phone. She went to stay with her father for the night.

Food, cigarettes and some cash were taken from a residence on Bluestone Drive.

Two men showed up outside a Fourth Avenue West woman's house and threatened her. They think she stole money from them.

A 2-year-old child found playing in the middle of Second Avenue East was returned home.

Officers received 80 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of DUI, driving on a suspended license, and a Columbia Falls warrant during a traffic stop on Baker Avenue.

Alarms

The ALERT helicopter, Hungry Horse Fire Department, Martin City Fire Department, and Canyon Quick Response Unit were paged to South Fork Drive after a 15-year-old boy was involved in a car accident. He was taken to the hospital.

The Badrock Fire Department was called to extinguish a small pile of burning debris on Montana 206.

The Smith Valley Fire Department and West Valley Fire Department responded to grass fires on U.S. 2 and North Hill Road.
