Susan Hoogendyk Scott, 57

Susan Hoogendyk Scott passed away on May 31, 2009, after a four-year battle with cancer, at her home in Louisiana, at age 57.

She grew up in Spokane and graduated from Shadle Park High School. Later she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at the Metropolitan State University in Denver. Her life-long passion was her art and she was successful in selling her work in the South and in Denver.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Jack Scott, of Destrehan, La.; her mother, Betty Minjares, and sisters, Marilynn Richter and Jeri Hoogendijk, of Kalispell; son, Leland BelIer, of Boulder Creek, La.; and a granddaughter, Violet Miroyan, of Los Angeles.

Memorial services will be held July 17 at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery in Kalispell.
