A woman called the Flathead County Sheriff's Office early Tuesday morning to complain that items had been stolen from her purse while she was at a party in Evergreen. When deputies called back minutes later, the woman had passed out. An ambulance was dispatched, but she did not need medical treatment. Deputies decided to wait until the woman was sober to take her statement.

A Shady Lane woman requested deputies conduct extra patrols of her neighborhood after she noticed a large footprint outside her window.

Someone damaged the door of a North Ferndale Drive residence in an apparent attempt to break in.

A 26-inch flat-screen TV, a boom box, and a carved bear were stolen on Ashley Lake Road. In an unrelated incident, a video camera was taken from a vehicle at a state park south of Bigfork.

Somewhere in the county a resident was bitten by his pet rat.

Drivers on U.S. 93 near West Reserve Drive cussed at each other after one motorist allegedly cut the other off.

Bad checks written to a business in Evergreen were the cause of a Tuesday evening argument outside the shop. The parties involved were counseled.

Deputies separated a man and woman arguing on Blanchard Hollow Road. The row reportedly began over talk of a divorce.

A man who got into an argument with his girlfriend on Lake Blaine Road left before deputies arrived. Deputies were back in the area 20 minutes later on an unrelated call. Men were arguing outside a Lake Blaine Road business.

Deputies received 118 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Kalispell police

People at a North Main Street restaurant received a harassing phone call from somebody who filled out an application to work there, but apparently wasn't hired. Kalispell police investigated.

Proprietors of a South Main Street business wanted to speak with an officer about a former employee's alleged trespassing.

A man involved in an argument on Ninth Avenue West left with a friend.

Officers were called to check out suspicious pedestrians on North Main Street and West Idaho Street.

Officers responded to a bar on U.S. 93 South and arrested a 19-year-old man on a misdemeanor city warrant for traffic violations.

Officers were called to referee a dispute between neighbors on Fifth Avenue West.

A 16-year-old student at Glacier High School was arrested in connection with drug possession.

Officers received 70 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 42-year-old man on suspicion of felony DUI after a crash at the intersection of Central Avenue and Second Street East.

Christmas lights at a Spokane Avenue apartment were removed, resulting in a vandalism complaint to police.

Officers arrested a 19-year-old Skyles Avenue man on a felony warrant for drug possession and a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court.

Officers received 44 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police arrested a 20-year-old woman with an outstanding contempt-of-court warrant for traffic violations after she turned herself in at City Court.

Officers received 25 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Alarms

Three Rivers EMS responded to Third Avenue East and Eighth Street to treat a man with cuts on his face.

A person who was passed out at the restaurant of a lodge on U.S. 93 was transported by Whitefish Ambulance to North Valley Hospital.

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to O'Brien Avenue after a resident reported smelling a gas odor, and the Creston Fire Department responded to South Many Lakes Drive after a resident reported smelling propane.

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to a convenience store on U.S. 2 to treat a person with an injured leg. The patient was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
