City of Kalispell seeking volunteers for board positions

The city of Kalispell is looking for people to fill openings on several boards.

Applications should be addressed to Mayor Pam Kennedy, P.O. Box 1997, Kalispell, MT 59903. The deadline is April 10.

For information on the positions, people can call the city clerk's office at 758-7756.

The openings are on the:

n Board of Adjustment, which hears appeals on zoning matters.

n Conrad Mansion Museum Board, which oversees maintenance, restoration and operation of the museum.

n Downtown Business Improvement District Board, which markets and encourages businesses in central Kalispell.

n Economic Development Revolving Loan Committee, which reviews loan packages.

n Impact Fee Advisory Committee, which sets, reviews and keeps tabs on impact fees.

n Parking Commission, which is in charge of the city's parking.

n Planning and Zoning Board, which makes recommendations to the city council on land-use, annexation and zoning matters.

n Police Commission, which assists in police hiring processes and is a grievance board on disciplinary matters.

n Street Tree Commission, which studies the city's needs for tree planting, protection, maintenance and removal.
