Flathead County Sheriff's deputies were called to a Mexican restaurant in Bigfork after a customer had problems with his credit card, reportedly an unauthorized transaction, and couldn't pay. Other customers got involved and threats were leveled, according to dispatch logs. Payment arrangements, however, were made.

A man allegedly tried to start a fight at an auto glass business on U.S. 2.

Neighbors on West Reserve Drive got into a dispute over property lines. Deputies who responded to settle the altercation determined the call was unfounded.

Someone on Trap Road was shooting toward the road, according to a passer-by. Deputies spoke with the reportedly unsafe shooter, who agreed to stop.

A motorist in Evergreen called deputies to report an erratic driver who, it turns out, may have been having a medical emergency.

As weather Thursday evening turned nasty, noninjury slide-ins and crashes were reported on U.S. 2, at the intersection of U.S. 2 and Montana 40, U.S. 93 near Whitefish, Hodgson Road, and Montana 35.

A farm tractor and pickup collided on U.S. 2 near mile marker 81. A vehicle hit a snowbank on Danielson Road.

A Pleasant Valley Road resident called deputies to complain about a neighbor, who allegedly was dumping garbage on the caller's property.

Deputies received 122 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police were called to the county library after two men left the building to fight. Turns out the disturbance remained verbal, and one of the men had left.

Threats were reported at a Kalispell middle school.

A Taelor Road resident called police after returning to find her home broken into. But officers could find no signs of forced entry and nothing appeared to be missing.

Officers ticketed a 37-year-old woman on suspicion of stealing cough syrup and stomach medicine from a grocery store on U.S. 93 South.

An Appleway Drive resident reported a domestic disturbance going on in the neighbor's residence. Turns out two children were just playing.

Officers arrested a man on suspicion of DUI and leaving the scene of an accident after a crash near a First Avenue West bar.

Items allegedly were stolen from a vending machine at a Kalispell restaurant.

Officers twice were called to a First Avenue West home after the resident noticed her garage light going on. Officers were unable to find anything suspicious.

Three teens allegedly were spotted smoking marijuana in a car on Indian Trail, but the vehicle was unoccupied when officers arrived.

Officers received 73 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police received 34 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received 20 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Alarms

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to West Reserve Drive after a power line came down.

Big Mountain Ambulance responded to the mountain's base lodge to treat a 40-year-old man with a broken ankle and a 70-year-old man who fell and then had difficulty breathing. Both patients were taken to North Valley Hospital.

The Kalispell Fire Department and West Valley Fire Department were paged out to West Reserve Drive for a one-vehicle crash. The occupants suffered minor injuries, but were not taken to the hospital.

The ALERT helicopter, Hungry Horse Fire Department, and Canyon Quick Response Unit were paged to a residence on U.S. 2 after receiving reports that a 44-year-old woman may have mixed alcohol and medication. She was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Bigfork Fire Department responded to Foothill Road after a chimney started sparking. The fire was out by the time firefighters arrived.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of U.S. 2 and Corporate Drive. A sedan and SUV collided. One person was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
