Abraham 'Abe' Jones, 89

Abraham "Abe" Jones, 89, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Heritage Place in Kalispell. He was born March 15, 1919, in East Glacier to Moses and Beatrice (Salois' Jones.

Abraham was the eighth child of nine. He was a quiet man but did enjoy visits from family and friends. He drove the beer wagon working in saw mills in the valley, and worked for the Forest Service. He was also a mechanic for family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Tom, Toussaint, Alex, Bill, Dave and Phil.

He is survived by two sisters, Emma Shero and Mary Bauer, of Kalispell; and several nieces and nephews.

A potluck dinner will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 15 (his 90th birthday), at Smith Valley Grange. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery later.
