Flathead County Sheriff's Deputies

A man showed up at a Lakeside business claiming he was a law enforcement officer from Lake County. His behavior, however, was suspicious enough to warrant a call to Flathead County Sheriff's deputies - who discovered the man was not an officer but did have an outstanding warrant. He was arrested.

A man called deputies afraid that his Hungry Horse father may be suicidal. The man wasn't, just intoxicated.

Loud music and talking earned a Shady Lane resident a visit from deputies after a neighbor complained about the noise.

Ninety pain pills and allergy medicine were reported stolen somewhere in the Kalispell area.

A Rufenach Lane resident reported receiving harassing phone calls, for the last month, from a heavily-accented man asking for a woman who doesn't live there.

Several vehicles got stuck in drifting snow near the intersection of Hodgson and Trumble Creek roads.

Deputies were called to conduct welfare checks on a driver heading southbound on U.S. 93 and a resident on Montana 40.

Possible drug activity was reported at a motel on U.S. 2 in Evergreen. Deputies responded to investigate.

Deputies received 140 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police responded to Airport Road after a woman called to complain that her boyfriend locked her out of the apartment. He let her in and the complaint was canceled. Officers were back at the residence a couple hours later, but this time she wouldn't let him inside to get his stuff.

Officers arrested a man on a warrant from the Montana Highway Patrol after he was involved in a crash on Seventh Avenue West North and Wyoming Street.

A driver slid into a stop sign on Empire Loop and Three Mile Drive, knocking it over. In a separate incident, a sign on Two Mile Drive also was hit.

Someone was spinning brodies in a parking lot off U.S. 93 North.

A man creating a disturbance at a casino on West Idaho Street refused to leave until police were called.

A man showed up at the sheriff's office and threatened to punch someone in the head to get into jail. Why he wanted to be incarcerated is unknown.

Two former students allegedly harassed a high school teacher outside a convenience store on U.S. 93 North.

Officers received 65 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Sunday and 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Alarms

Big Mountain Ambulance responded to the base lodge clinic to treat someone with injured ribs.

The Evergreen Fire Department was called to a Sunday morning crash on U.S. 2 and Cottonwood Drive.

Whitefish Ambulance was called to Twin Bridges Road and U.S. 93 after a car ran into the ditch. No one was injured.

The Evergreen Fire Department and Kalispell Fire Department responded to Granite View Drive and East Reserve Drive after a 15-year-old pedestrian was struck by a car. The boy, who hit the vehicle hard enough to crack the windshield, was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with a possible head injury.

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to Haskill Basin Road after a guest house burned down. The owner's son said a friend had stayed over in it the night before and the blaze may have been caused by a wall heater igniting the bed.
