Susan Jan Allen, 55, "went to be with the Lord" on March 2, 2009. She passed away in her home Monday afternoon, surrounded with the comfort and love of her family.

Sue is survived by her husband, Jeffery; son, Joshua; daughter, Sarah; sisters, Diane, Lynne and Sharon; and many friends and relatives.

Sue was born to Donald and Lillian Norton on April 30, 1953, in Sheldon, Iowa, and raised on the family farm. Growing up, Sue loved 4-H club, where she showed many award-winning animals. She was a cheerleader at Sanborn High School in Iowa, where she graduated from in 1971.

She attended colleges in South Dakota and Iowa, then traveled and lived all across the country.

She married Jeff Allen on May 30, 1976, and they later moved to Hungry Horse, where she lived for the past 25 years.

She loved the mountains, picking huckleberries, honey bees and gardening.

Sue loved the Lord and was a devoted member of her church. She owned and operated Rainbow Bodyworks in Columbia Falls, where she loved to do reflexology and massage. Many people know her from her work at the Nite Owl and Glacier Bank.

Sue was beautiful inside and out. She was truly a kind, caring, loving woman who did anything in her power to help those in need. She touched the lives of all who knew her. Sue was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend. Sue was "our angel on Earth." She was the sunshine of her family and the light of our lives. No words can express how much she is loved and missed.

Memorial services for Sue will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 9, at New Covenant Fellowship.

In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions to help with Sue's medical bills are appreciated. Thanks to all those who helped with her fundraising and care in any way.
