A resident of an apartment complex on Montana 35 in Evergreen told investigators that after Flathead County sheriff's deputies left a neighboring unit, someone in a black ski mask showed up. Deputies were unable to find anything amiss but did contact the unit's occupant. The 29-year-old man agreed to deal with the matter when he got out of jail. He had been arrested on a warrant for contempt of court earlier in the day.

Deputies separated a son and his mother, who were arguing near the intersection of U.S. 2 and Montana 40.

Reports that a 13-year-old student at an Evergreen junior high was assaulted are under investigation.

A Montana 40 resident told deputies that automated messages from the Flathead County Detention Center were twice left on his wife's cell phone. Because they don't know anybody in jail, the man thought the calls may have been a scam.

A rock slide was reported on East Lakeshore Drive, about four miles past the intersection with Big Mountain Road.

Deputies were called to remove an intoxicated and unwelcome man from a residence on U.S. 2 West. The man later called to tell deputies that the person who reported him to authorities had a gun. Deputies agreed to take the man's statement when he was sober.

A woman on Columbia Falls Stage Road told deputies a man was peeking in her window.

In separate instances, someone damaged a mailbox on South Hilltop Road and a car in the Glacier Park International Airport parking lot.

Deputies received 154 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Kalispell police

A woman told Kalispell police she shipped her household belongings to Saudi Arabia, but one of the boxes went missing in Denver. She wanted to report the alleged theft.

Two men mooned a person driving home from school.

A woman who couldn't find her grandson after his West Nevada Street school let students out for the day reported him missing. The boy later was found unharmed.

Officers counseled a man allegedly harassing his ex-girlfriend at her workplace. In a separate incident, a woman told police her fianc's ex-wife threatened to harm her.

Someone offered a Ninth Street East woman's 11-year-old son a ride as he walked to a friend's house, prompting a call to police.

Officers arrested a 24-year-old woman on suspicion of theft after she allegedly stole ham, chicken, and gravy from an East Idaho Street grocery store.

A man and woman who allegedly grabbed each other while fighting on Sixth Avenue West were gone when officers arrived.

People riding four-wheelers and doing stunts of snowbanks off West Idaho Street were gone when officers arrived.

A man causing problems at a 10th Avenue West residence was arrested on suspicion of partner assault.

Money was reported missing from a Fourth Avenue West residence. The occupant's sister suspects her brother's caretaker.

The mirror was ripped off a car parked on Fourth Street West.

Officers received 77 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 23-year-old woman on suspicion of DUI during a traffic stop on Reservoir Road and East Lakeshore Drive.

A 15-year-old girl was arrested at a fast-food restaurant on U.S. 93 for allegedly stealing money.

Officers received 40 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police found a highly intoxicated 22-year-old man walking around naked on Eighth Street West. He was taken home.

A camera was reported stolen at Columbia Falls High School.

Someone defecated on vehicles parked on 16th Street West.

Officers received 33 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Alarms

The Columbia Falls Fire Department responded to reports of a burned Porta Potty near the water building at the soccer fields off Talbot Road.

The Olney Fire Department was paged out to the town's green-box site after smoke was seen coming from one of the Dumpsters.

The Columbia Falls Fire Department and Three Rivers EMS responded to treat an intoxicated man, but he refused transport to the hospital.

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to a chimney fire on Eighth Street West.

The South Kalispell Fire Department was paged out to what turned out to be a controlled burn near a Willow Glen Drive church.
