A broken sewer line on Buffalo Hill kept the city Sewer Department busy Friday night. The initial report of water and sewage spewing through a manhole came in at about 5 p.m. Friday. The problem finally was fixed at about 5 a.m. Saturday.

Columbia Falls police ticketed four teenage boys with criminal mischief Friday after they confessed to bashing in mailboxes.
Officers received 32 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
Whitefish police
Whitefish police received 39 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
Alarms
The Whitefish Fire Department investigated a complaint of a gas odor on Central Avenue but did not find a gas leak. The Kalispell Fire Department checked out a similar complaint on Teal Drive; there, too, no leak was found.
