A man called Flathead County sheriff's deputies after he allegedly was assaulted at an Evergreen restaurant. Other patrons told deputies the man had been boorishly hitting on a woman in the bar, so he was taken outside and reportedly hit in the face. The man, who denied any churlish behavior, is contemplating whether or not to pursue charges.

Someone reportedly walked through yards on Three Mile Drive late at night, knocking on residents' windows.

A steer, with horns, parked itself on West Reserve Drive. The animal's owner was contacted to corral the wayward beast.

In separate incidents, a Foothill Road resident reported receiving harassing phone calls from area businesses, and a West Glacier woman received threatening phone calls from a man.

Locks were cut off several units at a storage facility on Montana 35. Items later were reported stolen.

Deputies were unable to determine whether damage to a van on Conrad Drive was vandalism or whether the part simply fell off.

A group of youths spotted going into an unoccupied building in Columbia Heights were gone when deputies arrived.

An Evergreen resident thinks some neighborhood youths put a dent in his motorcycle.

Deputies responded to a residence on U.S. 93 near Whitefish after a man and woman got into an argument. He reportedly told her he was in love with someone else.

A Harmony Road resident wanted deputies to remove the intoxicated man yelling and generally acting belligerent outside her home. He was given a ride down the road to the residence where he belonged.

Customers of a casino on Montana 35 told employees there was a man hiding behind the building. The man ran into the woods after someone shone a light on him.

Someone broke into a garage on Bigfork Stage Road.

Noninjury rollover crashes were reported on U.S. 2 west of Kalispell and on Blacktail Road. Other noninjury crashes were reported Wednesday afternoon across the Valley.

Deputies received 153 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police arrested a 58-year-old woman on suspicion of attempted burglary, possession of burglary tools, and possession of stolen property after she allegedly tried to pry open the door of a South Main Street residence.

A Sixth Avenue East resident throwing grass and tree trimmings into city garbage cans allegedly said he would blame the neighbors if he were caught. Neighbors called police.

A Denver Avenue husband told officers his estranged wife was removing property against a court order. He later called again to report she and her brother showed up and threatened to beat him up.

Officers were twice called to a North Main Street casino to deal with a man who wouldn't leave.

A boy on house arrest failed to return home after serving his community service, prompting a parent to call police.

A 15-year-old nonmember entered a health club off U.S. 93 North without permission, jumped off a balcony into the pool, and then ran away. The health club wanted him to be ticketed on suspicion of theft of services.

Three hundred dollars was reported stolen from a residence on Greatview Drive.

Officers arrested a 20-year-old woman on suspicion of DUI after responding to a family disturbance on Harrison Boulevard.

License plates were stolen off a car parked at a restaurant on U.S. 2 West.

Some unknown person tapped on the window of a Fifth Avenue East residence.

Officers received 74 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Whitefish police

While serving a restraining order on Colorado Avenue, Whitefish police arrested a 36-year-old woman on Missoula warrants for three counts of theft and one count of forgery.

Officers received 28 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received 15 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Alarms

The Kalispell Fire Department and Lakeside Quick Response Unit were paged to the Somers area to meet a deputy traveling from Lakeside with an unresponsive woman. She reportedly had threatened suicide but was located by deputies outside a Lakeside bar and was on the way to the hospital for a mental-health evaluation when she became unconscious.

The ALERT helicopter, Kalispell Fire Department, and Lakeside Quick Response Unit were paged out to Blacktail Mountain after someone suffered a possible concussion.

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to a Mountain View Drive residence that had smoke in its walls.
