Clayton Henry Lamb, 68

Clayton Henry Lamb, 68, of Whitefish passed away of congestive heart failure March 24, 2009, at North Valley Hospital.

He was born in Malta on Aug. 6, 1940, to Manuel and Agnes Lamb. They lived in Saco and moved to Whitefish in 1950. Clayton was educated and graduated from Whitefish High in 1958.

He married Dixie Hulett in 1958 and lived in Half Moon while working for Stoltze Lumber. Two daughters were born there, Geraldine and Myrna. They later were divorced.

Clayton was an Army medic from 1966 to 1968.

He lived in Arizona and then in California where he met Liz Cadman. They moved to Whitefish in 1975 and were married. She had three children, Lonnie, Bill and Debra. Liz died in 1979.

He married Denise Weldele in 1980. They had three children, David, Mathew and Megan. They later were divorced.

He also worked for a sawmill in Alaska for five years.

Clayton was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Lamb; and second wife, Liz.

He is survived by his mother, Agnes Lamb; brother, Gene, and wife, Mary; sister, Millie Groshong, and husband, Jim; sister, Dorothy Anderson; and children, Geraldine Penland, Myrna Lamb, Lonnie Cadman, Bill Cadman, Debra Cadman, David Lamb, Mathew Lamb, Megan Lamb, and Katie Green. He also has 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 30, at Austin Funeral Home in Whitefish. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, at the Whitefish Assembly of God, 1549 Karrow Ave. Burial will be afterward at Glacier Memorial Gardens in Kalispell, with military graveside honors by the United Veterans of the Flathead and the Montana National Guard.
