Board supports subdivision on KM Ranch Road

A proposed 49-lot subdivision north of KM Ranch Road received a thumbs up from the Flathead County Planning Board last week.

The board recommended that the Flathead County commissioners approve a preliminary plat for Whitefish Hills Forest Phases Two through Five on 524 acres just north of KM Ranch Road about 1.2 miles west of U.S. 93.

Whitefish Hills Forest LLC already has two lots there in its first phase along KM Ranch Road.

Three people raised concerns about increased traffic raising more dust in that area.

The board made its recommendation contingent on the developer paving KM Ranch Road up to county standards to the west side of the subdivision.
