Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police are investigating a report of a 2-year-old child who was struck by a vehicle on the 600 block of Eighth Avenue East on Sunday just after noon. The child, who apparently suffered minor injuries, was taken by a parent to North Valley Hospital. Police are looking for the driver, who fled the scene.

A man, 45, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving on North Meadow Lake Boulevard on Sunday.

The department had 35 log entries from 3:30 p.m. Saturday through 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police arrested an intoxicated man, 56, on suspicion of open container and resisting arrest in Woodland Park on Saturday afternoon.

A purse with a wallet and credit cards was reported stolen from a home on the 200 block of Fourth Street West.

Outdoors gear was reported stolen from a truck on the 800 block of Second Avenue West.

A boy, 17, was arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief after allegedly making threats at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct after a disturbance at fast-food eatery on the 500 block of East Idaho.

After he was delivered to the Kalispell hospital's emergency room by sheriff's deputies, a suicidal man went out of control and had to be restrained by police.

A young female reported that her dad was going after boyfriend with a baseball bat. All parties were counseled when officers arrived.

A woman, 22, was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct after an altercation at a bar near Woodland Park. Not long after, two men involved in the altercation were back at the bar, threatening bouncers. They were gone by the time officers returned.

A woman, 39, was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after a disturbance at a hotel on U.S. 93 on the south side of town.

Early on Sunday, a man, 20, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, second offense, after he was involved in a minor traffic accident on Northridge Drive.

A woman reported that a man wearing a hoody had let all the air out of her tires while her car was parked in front of an Appleway Drive residence. The culprit left the scene.

There was a report of a White Dodge Ram, with a toolbox in back, being stolen. The vehicle was parked, with keys in the ignition, on the 100 block of Fourth Avenue West.

Two bicycles, an MP3 player, and a cell phone were reported stolen from another residence on the 100 block of Fourth Avenue West.

A purse with $100, a checkbook and prescription drugs reportedly was stolen from a kitchen counter at a home on the 100 block of Sherry Lane.

Kalispell police had 60 log entries from 3:30 p.m. Saturday through 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Flathead County sheriff

Flathead County sheriff's deputies arrested a man, 23, on suspicion of family member assault after he attacked a brother at a home on the 100 block of North Cedar Drive on Saturday night.

An 18-year-old girl reported that she had been beaten up by her father at a residence on Braig Road. The man left the scene, and deputies are investigating.

There was a report of a suspicious man loitering in the Phanco Lane area. The man reportedly knocked on the door of a home and asked the resident to have his daughter give the shady character a ride to the store. He was told to leave.

Deputies responded to a disturbance involving a man and woman on Antelope Trail near Whitefish. The man was gone when they arrived. Early on Sunday, there was a similar incident, with the same outcome, at a Ridgewood Drive residence.

More than two dozen yard lights were vandalized at two houses on the 100 block of Crestview Drive.

A person reported that there was a grizzly bear on the porch of his Rabe Road residence in Coram on Sunday morning. The report was forwarded to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.

There was a report of an abandoned trailer home being vandalized repeatedly at a property along U.S. 2 east of Columbia Falls. Neighbors are concerned about it.

A woman reported that her ex has been stalking her, calling her 72 times Sunday and then keying her car at an apartment complex in Lakeside.

A woman reported finding a burned car on national forest lands in the Good Creek area northwest of Whitefish. Deputies determined that the car appeared to be in the area of a recent party, but theycould not determine who owned it. The matter was referred to Forest Service law enforcement.

A man reported that he had been assaulted by two teenage boys on Canyon Road in Hungry Horse.

Sheriffs dispatch had 177 log entries from 3:30 p.m. Saturday through 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 12-year-old boy and a girl, 14, on suspicion of family member assault after an altercation at a Crestwood Court residence Saturday afternoon.

The department had 41 log entries from 3:30 p.m. Saturday through 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
