Glacier tops FHS boys, girls 8-0
The Daily Inter Lake
Just like last time.
Glacier dispensed with Flathead in a tennis dual on Tuesday, winning by 8-0 scores in boys and girls play.
Those were the same scores when the two teams met back on April 14.
Glacier's Liana Bates, at No. 1 singles; Rachel Sherrill/Lindsea Vaudt, at No. 2 doubles; and Juan Pablo-Gevaudan/Evan Froystad, at No. 4 doubles, were straight-set winners.
Four matches went three sets - Kayla Nelson and Sydney Sharaf at No. 4 doubles; Patrick Phattharaampornchai and Michael Boettcher at Nos. 1-3 singles; and Brandon Simpson and Kyle Schmauch at No. 1 doubles.
"The kids all played really well, considering the ridiculous wind gusts," Glacier coach Josh Munro said.
"But we were happy to get the match in. It was a good way to close out the dual season."
Glacier and Flathead will compete in the Flathead Invitational on Saturday, followed by divisional action and then state May 22-23 in Bozeman.
