Montana West Economic Development and Flathead Valley Community College have teamed up with business coach Patrice Lynn to present a class on Friday.

Five Steps to Profit in Any Economy will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday in Room 208 of the FVCC Arts and Technology Building.

Lynn will present concise lessons that can be put to work in a business immediately in:

n Profit margin - the most important number to watch and improve.

n Sales conversion - the "hidden gold mine" in every business.

n Average dollar sale - the easiest number to influence.

n Purchase frequency - the most overlooked way to increase profits.

n Marketing strategy - the way to spend marketing dollars wisely.

Lynn has worked with small mom-and-pop shops and large corporations, helping more than 300 companies improve profitability and productivity. Her clients include Hewlett Packard, Patagonia, IBM, Northwestern Mutual, the World Bank, AAA, Insty Prints and Celestial Seasonings.
