Pirates take two from Havre; rip Glendive

BUTTE - It was a long, but very productive day for Polson's softball team.
The Pirates swept Havre in a conference doubleheader, 8-4 and 10-5, and followed by stopping Glendive 11-2 to go 3-0 during first-day play at the Butte Central Invitational on Friday.
Tournament action resumes today with Polson, 6-1 in Western A and 14-2 overall, playing two more games.

The Pirates garnered 12 hits en route to a victory over the Havre Blue Ponies.
Polson scored three runs in the first and fourth innings. Dakota Peterson held Havre to three hits and picked up the win for the Pirates.
Rochelle Woods was perfect in three trips to the plate.
Sarah Newton, Riley Kenney, Charlee Jenson and Susan Perez-Tenas all had two hits each for Polson.
In the second game, Polson outhit Havre 15-8.
Newton, 2-for-3, homered and had four RBIs.
