Whitefish Foundation taking grant applications

The Whitefish Community Foundation's annual grant applications now are available on the Community Foundation's Web site, www.whitefishcommunityfoundation.org.

You can also get applications from the foundation office at 214 W. Second St., in Whitefish. Applications are due no later then June 1.

The Foundation supports nonprofit, charitable organizations that enhance the quality of life in Flathead County, generally organizations whose work primarily serves the citizens of the Whitefish area. Applicants must be tax exempt at the time of application under the provisions of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The foundation will consider funding in three areas:

n Endowment development

n Operating expenses

n Specific projects and programs. The foundation does not provide seed money for projects not yet started.

The 501(c)(3) Breakfast Club will meet at 8:30 a.m. May 21 in the Whitefish Library Community Room. The Breakfast Club is a great chance for nonprofits to network. RSVP to linda@whitefishcommunityfoundation.org, or call the office at 863-1781.
