Flathead County Sheriff's deputies twice were called Wednesday to a Bigfork home because a man thought someone was shining a laser light through his window.

A woman sitting in the middle of the road at First Avenue West and 10th Street told deputies she was just walking home.

The suspicious car outside a Woodland Avenue residence turned out to be someone delivering newspapers.

Cows were reported in the middle of Farm Road. A horse got loose on Four Mile Drive. A Farm View Lane resident contacted animal wardens about a problem with feral cats.

A man claiming to be a River Street woman's grandson called to ask for $5,000 because he had been in an accident. He was not the woman's grandson.

Deputies were called to referee a custody dispute involving a Tamarack Lane resident and their niece.

The suspicious people standing outside a vacant Sharon Road home, which had property still inside, were gone when deputies arrived.

Deputies were called to Shady Lane in Evergreen after a 16-year-old resident's behavior got out of control.

Deputies received 116 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Kalispell police

A Fifth Avenue East resident told Kalispell police a stranger just walked into his living room, turned around, and left. Officers were unable to find anyone matching the suspect's description in the area.

A man was spotted rooting through garbage cans at Woodland Park.

Three juveniles are believed to have pulled the fire alarm at a Center Street hotel. Authorities discovered the alarm was false before evacuating the building.

A woman walked out of a casino on U.S. 93 South without paying for about $5 in beer.

Officers were called to settle an argument between a man and woman on First Street West. But when officers arrived, he refused to open the door. Authorities contacted the woman by phone, and she said the altercation had remained verbal only.

A man was arrested on a Kalispell warrant and for driving on a suspended license during a traffic stop on West Idaho Street.

Officers received 66 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 16-year-old boy for family member assault after responding to a domestic disturbance on Somers Avenue.

Officers arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of DUI after a crash in the parking lot of a restaurant on U.S. 93 south of town.

Officers received 30 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police responded to disturbances at a downtown bank and an apartment complex on Seventh Avenue East North, where a woman claims she was assaulted. The suspects were gone when officers arrived,

Officers arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of DUI and possession of alcohol during a traffic stop on Seventh Avenue East North.

Officers received 25 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Alarms

The Creston Fire Department and Kalispell Fire Department responded to a crash on Montana 206.

The Evergreen Fire Department was paged out to reports of a grass fire on Birch Grove Road.

Deputies responded to reported disturbances in Bigfork and outside Columbia Falls. The parties involved were counseled.

During a traffic stop on U.S. 93 and West Reserve Drive, officers arrested a man for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
