Columbia Falls police
A 65-year-old man was found dead Wednesday evening in a car wash on Ninth Street West in Columbia Falls. The man, who is from Evergreen, regularly walks between Columbia Falls and Kalispell. He had been dropped off in Columbia Falls by his wife prior to his death.
"We have no reason to believe it was anything but natural, but we want to be sure so we sent him down for an autopsy," said coroner and Flathead County Sheriff Mike Meehan.
Columbia Falls police received 32 other calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Flathead County sheriff
A man told Flathead County Sheriff's deputies that his ex-girlfriend's mother slammed the door of a Farm To Market Road home in his face, injuring his leg.
Musical instruments, reportedly two guitars, were taken from a Valley View Drive home. The resident returned home from school to find the rear door open and his stuff gone.
The driver of a green Honda reportedly flipped off two people messing around in the parking lot of an Evergreen church before motoring away.
An overnight bag was stolen from a car in the parking lot of a West Idaho Street dry-cleaning business.
A man in the Columbia Falls area told deputies someone in a blue pickup truck followed him for about four miles. His suspicious vehicle was gone when deputies arrived.
An 11-year-old boy allegedly hit a 12-year-old boy in the nose during an altercation in Bigfork.

Kalispell police
Kalispell police were unable to find a man who allegedly dragged a woman from a casino on First Avenue East to a car and then back again while beating her.
A Sixth Avenue West North woman told officers her granddaughter stole money out of her purse.
A Two Mile Drive man got into an altercation with his father, who allegedly struck him in the head and threatened to shoot him.
Officers arrested shoplifters at a grocery store on East Idaho Street on two separate occasions.
Two teens were spotted 'skulking around" on West California Street. Officers are conducting extra patrols of the area.

Whitefish police arrested 46-year-old a woman for obstructing a police officer and on a warrant. She allegedly was walking around the downtown area intoxicated.

Alarms
The Evergreen Fire Department responded to Trumble Creek Road to treat a resident with hip pain and the Kalispell Fire Department responded to Heritage Way to treat a person with abdominal pain.
The Somers Fire Department was called to Somers Stage Road for a reported structure fire. Turns out it was the controlled burn of a slash pile, which was being conducted with a permit.
