Clara 'Irene' Tiffany, 85

Clara "Irene" Tiffany, 85, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 17, 2009, in Columbia Falls.

She was born on Dec. 25, 1923, in Mountain View, Ark., to Virginia Scott and Frank Huey.

Irene was married to Timothy Tiffany in Kalispell on May 22, 1948. The family spent many years in Michigan and Montana where they raised their seven children.

Irene loved to spend time with her friends and especially her family. She was a great cook and seamstress.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Timothy; two brothers and two sisters; grandson, Randy Allison; and a great-granddaughter, Jessilyn Baltz.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Flathead County (Karen, Karen and Linda) for their compassionate and competent care.

Irene is survived by her seven children and their families, Patti and Lewis Speelman, Gail Tiffany, Timothy and Doreen Tiffany, Ruth Cooper, Michael and Mary Beth Tiffany, Shirley and Gary Allison, and Kay and Roy Baltz. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and another due in September; her sister, Kitty Sprik, and her brother, Frank Huey, and her special niece, who was more like a sister, Ruamy Beach, all of Michigan.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, at the Lake View Cemetery in Polson.

Arrangements are with the Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls.
