The completion of three new care facilities in Kalispell will be celebrated Friday with open-house celebrations:

n Intermountain, a nationally recognized children's mental-health agency, will hold an open house and grand opening for donors and community members from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at its Child and Family Psychological Center, 322 Second Ave. West, Suite A, in Kalispell.

The center will provide assessment and traditional psychotherapy to children, adolescents, parents and families facing a wide range of psychological challenges. Intermountain will coordinate services with community providers including the Department of Family Services, schools, therapists, physicians, law enforcement and other mental-health agencies.

Founded in Helena, Intermountain has served Montana children and families for more than 100 years.

n Flathead County's new Community Health Clinic will be celebrated with a grand opening and dedication from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at the clinic on the newly constructed third floor of the Earl Bennett Building, 1035 First Ave. West in Kalispell.

The dedication begins at 4 p.m. and tours will be offered throughout the two-hour open house.

A $1.3 million federal grant will provide operational funding for medical and dental services. The expanded center includes 13 examination rooms and five dentist stations and employs 10 people. Additional staffers will be hired as the center caseload grows.

n Flathead Youth Home debuts a new $1.1 million home from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday at the northeast corner of East Oregon Street and Eighth Avenue East North in Kalispell.

The 6,000-square-foot, 10-bedroom home will provide shelter for youths ages 10 to 18.

Residents are children who have been referred by the local youth court or family-services department. The shelter accommodates children whose family lives are typically in crisis, providing temporary housing until they can return to their families or secure foster care.
