Flathead County sheriff's deputies were called to Wagner Lane where an overturned canoe was found in Church Slough. No one was around and no one has been reported missing.

Three dogs made a run for freedom by jumping out the window at a Parliament Drive home. The dogs are back home now.

The owner of a bulldog on Lone Pine Road was cited after his dog attacked another dog.

A woman's purse was stolen out of her shopping cart when her back was turned at an Evergreen grocery store.

A 10-year-old boy who was supposed to be on a Canyon Elementary School field trip was reported missing, but he later was found at his home.

Two parents were fighting during a ballgame at Aero Lane Field near Ferndale, but eventually calmed down.

Deputies were called to quiet down a loud party between South Fork Drive and Canyon Road in Hungry Horse.

A theft was reported from a home in Columbia Heights. Items were reported missing from the house and the yard.

Money was missing from a convenience store on Montana 35.

A log splitter was stolen from a yard on One Way in Columbia Falls.

Someone complained of sexual harassment at a restaurant on East Idaho Street.

A deer and a Volkswagen crossed paths a little after 2 p.m. west of Whitefish.

A homeowner complained about peacocks nesting in the garden. The friendly pheasants returned after each attempt to send them packing. Wildlife officials were called.

A rototiller was taken from home on Dogwood Avenue in Evergreen.

The sheriff's department logged 164 calls between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell Police officers were asked to investigate reckless driving on First Avenue East. A woman was speeding and yelling obscenities from her convertible Volkswagen.

Transients were harassing women customers at various stores at a shopping area of U.S. 93 north. In another call, transients were harassing all customers and going through cars at the same shopping area.

A hit-and-run was reported on First Avenue West where a navy blue GMC Jimmy backed into another car. The suspect was described as 5 foot 2 inches and 175 pounds with gray-and-black hair.

Another hit-and-run was reported involving a car and a garage at Fifth Avenue East.

Officers cited a customer for shoplifting at a store on West Idaho Street.

A concerned citizen contacted the department after witnessing a man running with a black purse and making a getaway in a late-model Ford truck.

Graffiti was discovered Friday morning at a home on Grandview Drive and a business on U.S. 93.

Someone removed a distributor from a 1976 truck parked on West Idaho.

A man called police claiming that his girlfriend cut his finger off Friday morning. It turned out that the man was missing six fingers from previous, now healed, accidents. Officers counseled the couple.

Criminal mischief was investigated at Depot Park. Someone threw clothes all over the park.

Late Thursday, a man dressed in black from head to toe was noticed going through cars on Third Avenue East North.

Near the same time, a citizen saw a man on a bike try to break into his car on Seventh Avenue West.

A resident on Teal Drive requested extra patrol after finding a BB hole in her upstairs window.

A homeowner on Northern Lights Boulevard witnessed a man and woman steal three colored solar lights worth $45 from the yard.

Panhandlers were bothering people Thursday evening at a shopping area on U.S. 93 North.

A "brew-haha" erupted at Center and Main. First a man called and claimed a woman threw a beer bottle at his vehicle. A second caller claimed a man threw a bottle at another man's car. Then a woman called and claimed a flying Red Bull damaged her stereo. No one pressed charges.

A woman was charged with shoplifting from a store on Third Avenue East North.

A woman complained that her iPod was taken from her vehicle that was parked on First Avenue East.

Kalispell police logged 97 calls between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police officers arrested a juvenile at the junior high school found with drug paraphernalia.

Officers arrested a 25-year-old man on five outstanding warrants including a felony warrant from the county.

A teenage boy was arrested and charged with the theft of a yearbook at the high school.

Columbia Falls police logged 39 calls between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police officers arrested a 37 year-old-man from Alberta and charged him with driving under the influence after a traffic stop at Second Avenue and Spokane.

A 47-year-old man from Whitefish was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear for reckless driving and driving with a suspended driver's license.

Officers arrested a 27-year-old woman from Kalispell for driving under the influence.

Another 27-year-old woman was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear on an expired registration and no insurance.

Officers arrested a 62-year-old man near the train depot for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Whitefish police logged 50 calls between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.
